Deputies Shut Down Medical Pot Shop in Centerville | Crime
After conducting a three-month investigation, Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies have shut down a medical marijuana collective in Centerville.
Investigators served a search warrant at Herbal Solutions Thursday afternoon. The business is located near Centerville Elementary.
Sheriff Margaret Mims says the medical pot shop opened up after the Fresno County Board of Supervisors passed a moratorium last year banning additional collectives.
Mims says deputies found 30 marijuana plants inside the business, along with pipes and other items.
30-year-old Jessica Becker, an employee at the shop, was arrested on charges of selling marijuana. Deputies then served a search warrant at her home in Sanger where they seized about 500 marijuana plants, Mims said.
The owner could face federal charges because the collective was operating within 1,000 feet of the school.
